I live in Angola and need quite a lot of spares to keep both my Tandems running. I will not support local distributors because even after all their denials after the "Price Fixing" meeting and resultant debacle...... with some even coming out of it smelling of roses....... the prices HAVE GONE UP!!!!!!!! I order all my spares well in advance and www.chainreactioncycles.com is by far the best.

Just make sure that you order the correct stuff. Make use of your expensive local distributors and waste their time to find out exactly what you want. Then order the correct items from CRC. On shoes and apparrel you must be extremely carefull. Go and fit the shoes or helmet or other BEFORE you order. It is difficult to exchange this purchased in Ireland.

BTW. If I am in trouble I will buy locally' date=' only because they offer the service.

id be really pissed if i knew u did this at the shop that i work at....

What a f@@ing attitude ! May your next order get lost in transit ! You want a service but don't want to pay for it !

No..... you are always slow to understand....... I make use of the system they offer. I do not expect ANYTHING from them. I am at liberty to buy from who ever I want. I control MY money...... not the bike shops.

Wees maar dom en hou aan vir die Harleys en lekker lewe te betaal.

PS............ bike shops will not refuse you service because the customer is ALWAYS right and they may loose the sale and the sale pays for the Harley en al die lekker dinge!!!!!!!

So by the way..... WAAR het ek gekla oor duur pryse????????

Wel ander ouens betaal vir my leefstyl . Ek kan dit gelukkig bekostig om hulle lewenstyl ook te verbeter . Miskien as ek in Ondjiva gesit en pap eet het sou ek so gevoel het .

Hi, (white flag waving...)

Amidst the Ondjiva-like heat... I'm still wondering if someone can answer my question, (which now have taken a back-seat to the ethical and moral) -  how long does it take for components ordered from CRC to reach Cape Town ?

Black_Jack,

These thing happen on the hub but don't read into it.

Your question: How long would it take? I don't speak out of experience but a calculated guess... I would think up to 6 weeks. smiley4.gif

Just to give you a number. Perhaps some hubbers can assist.

Also try and search previous topic and do visit CWC as Chris will also help you with a good deal and no waiting time...

Black Jack, they shouldn't take longer than 10 days if CRC has them in stock.

I had a set of wheels built by CRC and received them within 10 days.

Hey Black J, longest I've waited is 10 days from the order being released.

Shortest is 4 days!

Only buy in stock items or you can wait 2 weeks for the order to be released while they wait for out of stock orders.

Free Shipping is door to door, paid shipping always ends up at the PO, pain in the $ss!

I use my LBS exclusively, and I have done for 10 years now. I will only buy on-line if they don't have stock or cannot get stock. I've found over the years that the more I support them the better the discounts getWink. More importantly it builds a relationship while keeping a local small business going. I recently had a leaking brake master cylinder (juicy ultimate), my LBS fitted a juicy 5 so i could ride while waiting for a replacement. This LBS once mail ordered a part for me after the local agents failed repeatedly. LBS paid full retail and shipping, but honoured their quote to me.

If i do order online it's only CRC, they are the best.

I mail my sister in UK a wishlist, she orders and pays, it's delivered to her, her company couriers it to me. I put funds in her Cape Town Holiday Fund.

No duty, no shipping. Cool. LOL

Well, the next person in the Cpt area that orders from CRC, please let me know! Would like to get in on that...

I can not find a Marchozzi to Schroder adapter in Cpt, they have for R80, but shipping on that is R150...
