Prepsol and power washer' date=' Air dry with a compressor. .... Lube chain.

Its bicycle, move on....

Regrease bearings every 3 months...

Prepsol FTW!! It may not be the cheapest but in my opinion the best. Then Liquid Wax for the chain. and your done.

Just leave out the power washer because you WILL force water into the seals of the Headset, BB, wheelbearings, freewheel and pedals, and eventually wash the grease out there as well.

Never ever ever ever wash your bike with high pressure....... and do not tune me now that you do not spray in these areas....... that is bulldust and you know it!!!!!!!!!!

Been using a HPW for years an spray the cr@p out of every nook and cranny. (Ok, not the fork seals) As long as you regrease every so often I never have a problem due to rust or excessive wear. How do you think most bike shops wash bikes? By hand?

OK go haead you have been warned....... maybe that is a reason why I service my bikes myself. I will never trust a bicycle shop to abuse my bike like that.

I wash my bike with a set of Finish Line brushes like this with a liquid car wash that contains wax.

and I wash my chain with one of these using plein old common Sunlight Liquid

cheep and cheerfull and it worx!!!!!! O ja and I lube all moving parts with light oil using a thick needle and a disposable syringe and I lube the chain with Squirt (O ja, I know JB thinx it is crap but it worx for me and has been for the past four years)

Tee heeee you ARE weird!!!!!!! It takes me 20 minutes every weekend or even every second weekend. I ma sure it takes you longer to untangle the lead, find the hosepipe, look for the connectors and then try to find the perpsol in the garage........ only to find the wife is using the dishwasher AND washing your dirty muddies cycling clothes and there is no water power........ ya see ....... cheep and cheerfull rulz!!!!!!!!!

Di. I use an ordinary water based engine degreaser. So far I have not noticed any ill effects on the paint and it gets the bits clean. I do not use it anywhere near wheel hubs and Cranks or other place where grease is always needed.

I find it preferable to soak a cloth in it and then run the chain through it. Wash of with a wet rag and re-oil the chain. Use another rage to "run" between the teeth of the rear sprocket to get the old oil / lube off and replace wheel.
