Add some REAL tyres at 1.2kg, a real Saddle at 200g and a decent Crankset - 780g - then that Scott will be sitting at lets see : 580g+ 95g + 340g = New bike weight Total: 8.910kg, still freaken light.

Guys, the Scott is still impressive.

My view - just loose a kilo or two and youre there. Why spend all that money to get a kilo or some down, when you can drop a kilo from your body weight?  - and I'm not talking about the pros who are already super fit and at their optimum power to weight ratio - just a thought...

Hehe rustig Marius!

Ya I must concede there is no way one can ride a bike like that scott, most parts will need to be replaced, even for xc riding, nevermind the epic. Just thought id share a light crazy dually but some okes seem to be a bit scratchy this morning eish LOL

I only saw later that it was an epic ready light dually post, so that changes things dramatically.  Pro's do ride 2 rings upfront and dura ace derailers though...
