Unbelievable how they manage to put so many riders in such remote areas with such great track.

Awesome and incredible event.

Quite a weekend of highs and lows for me though.

Day 1 - awesome.

Day 2 - got a bit smacked

Day 3 - still sore from previous day - still loved it

Prize giving - win a bike

Sunday morning - our 2 Sani bikes were stolen

Sunday night - Mango left my lucky draw bike in Durban

Monday - still smiling!

What an amazing event! what cool floating bridges!!!!

I forgot how day 2 can bite though... and going uo Heart Rate hill on day 3 I was hoping that one of those black mambas that they had been warning us about would come out and bite me

Bike took a hammering

A really awesome event.

That floating bridge on the lagoon on Day 3 claimed a number of victims !!

Note for future reference, DO NOT re-use an old SRAM masterlink on a new chain !! I lost about 10 minutes on day 1 fixing my chain that broke twice where the masterlink dis-engaged itself !!.

Awesome race! Didn't too too well though which left my team mate a little disappointed, form seems to have evaporated. It better come back for the Epic!

VERY PROUD OF MY MATES ROAN EXELBY AND DAVEY LEIMAN FOR PULLING OFF A BRILLIANT 3rd ON GC!!! RESPECT LADS!

Will be back with intent for next year.

Only negative Thumbs%20Down is the first days seeding was so shocking...We were seeded in N and had to work through the whole field to finsh in B after day 3.

My first Sani. Fantastic event and brilliant organisation. However, a bit bitter sweet for me.

Day 1 had a bad fall at speed on the opening district road. After dusting myself off and nursing my shoulder a bit I eventually managed to continue with the remaining 80kms, albeit a bit slowly and painfully.

Day 2 could not start as I was too sore.

Day 3 was awesome and I had a good solid ride.

Anyway went to doctor today and had xrays, shoulder is fractured in 4 places with one being a dislocated fracture.

Oh well going in for an operation on Wednesday, a plate, a hook and a few screws with 6 to 8 weeks before I can get on a bike again - bummer!

Sorry to hear that Maniac, hope you recover soon.

Roux 1 broke his collar bone and cracked a couple of ribs 34k's into Day 1 which put him out for the rest of the race.
