Sweat & Gears? Benoni; MtB...

's up all?

Many of the old-school MtB crew will remember the Sweat & Gears MtB playground next to CR Swart dam in Benoni...just down the road from the Bunny Park.

It's been years since last I was out there...

Does anyone know if this is still open and going?

I'd really like to find some nice technical forest-type riding around Jo'burg or so...

Any ideas anyone?

Cheers, N.

Is this code for something? Or was there actually a bunny park?

Could be a code of sorts though, I've heard that the local whores hang out at the bunny park...

Apparently subtley is no longer prevalent on the hub.

Dude, have you been to the East Rand? Subtlety is a foreign country, and we ain't got the visasBig%20smile

And once  a year there is this "ride for the bunnies" race that starts outside the bunny park... dunno where the proceeds go, maybe some sort of benevolent fund or something

Thanks guys.

What a pity...S&A, and the Honeydew quarry had some of the best riding in Jo'burg...sadly they both fell prey to F'ing housing developments.

I'm not really after club rides as I want to go for a bit of a free ride...exploring the trails, redoing the fun bits, etc.

Perhaps Pretoria...Fountains, etc....that area.

We'll give it a go.

Thanks, N.
