I did the road race last year.
Head wind the whole way back.
But I loved it. I am going back this year and no matter what the cost or the weather.
Although R185 for a national level race is fine anyway.
Come on' date=' whats the use about moaning about the price when that will be the smallest part of your expenses to go there. smiley17.gif [/quote']

Ja, ja Woofie, I must admit you make some sense, he-he - Catch you on the route and maybe at a "coffee" bar.

Hey that may be a awsome option. Mrs C wants to go up and do the races and I got MX on the Saturday and was contemplating driving up after the days racing to ride but will get there to late so maybe if some dudes are going to ride Harkerville in the am I am keen to do that??

I plan on hitting the 78km so hard that I'll most likely be dragging any number of my internal organs on the ground behind me by the time I hit the finish line. Not sure I'll get up on Sunday at all!

minty' date=' what time you planning on riding ?

Ahem....well....last year I was in bad shape and managed to finish somewhere around 4th or 5th last in a time of 6:05 Embarrassed

My good friends seem to think that hitting 4hrs is not a stretch. I'm not getting my hopes up to high for that though.

Am riding as much as possible at the moment and doing a fair amount of climbing(my weakness) so we'll see....anything can happen, eh?

R185 is cheap. It's the price of a bed and food expenses you should be worrying about...! Great race, and will be doing it again this year.

You can replace the internal organs with 10 goos, 6 bananas and some other pick me ups smiley4.gif

Energade's Jelly babies - CrashTestDummy turned into a machine 10 minutes  after wolfing a packet down. So whenever i saw him grabbing a packet at a water point, I would have to as well, just to keep up!! Ouch

alright Minty....you planning on 4 hours. Lets see if I can finish in under 8 hours, which means if you did two laps I would still finish before you. Big%20smile
