That TT was a killer - I struggled to keep Jo's wheel on some of those hills. It was great to see how Jo improved her climbing/descending/racing compared to last year! The mixed teams were impressive - The girls (especially An-li and Jo) had some good bunch positioning, always moving up to the front part of the group when it was possible. Some good improvement by An-li, because I remember she wasn't fond of descending and bunch riding in the past, but she managed very well this year.

Flemish Lion Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Graeme did a great job to convince An-Li to ride single bikes (and not tandem). It must have been such a valuable experience for An-Li being able to race with her coach! Their descending sessions at Hekpoort clearly paid off!

I couldn't get away with saying he was holding onto my shirt... could I...? LOL! I was in serious *** tht day... bad back 'n all hey. Hanco was the man though. Great rider, great team mate and i learnt a lot from him. What a tour... it's a 2010 must do for anyone. Even if you go there, give 105% and still need a little hand-up every now and then...

And she skopped 'n paar ooms en tannies se gatte Shame on day 1 she really battled and here I must congratulate and thank her riding partner Ilna Lemmer also from TCC who got her through the day and the tour. I am sure Ilna did not do as well as she was hoping to do as a result of Claudia with her but the kid came back strong and motivated. They did not come last so I just shudder to think how slow the last guys must have been. But watch next year
