While it is true that Xenon is Campag's entry level gruppo, it is not really comparable to Sora. It is way above that, and probably at least in Tiagra's range, if not 105 in some aspects. Also, both Sora and Xenon are 9 speed, and Xenon is upgradeable to 10 with levers and cassette, Sora requires levers, rear mech, cassette, and chain...

Xenon and Mirage have been dropped from 2009 though' date=' so Veloce is the new entry level group.

Yeah, but you'll still get plenty of the old stuff on dis-continued bike ranges. And that's pretty cool... Campag's new entry level is on the same level as Ultegra. Sweet.LOL

This how I have it?

From top to bottom

Super Record - no equivalent Sram/Shimano

Record = Red = Dura Ace

Chorus - no equivalent Sram/Shimano

Ultegra SL = Rival (Sram)

Ultegra 105 = Centaur (Campy)

Tiagra

Sora

2200

So Shimano has bigger variety with 6 options, Sram has 2 options and Campy 4.

Dont know about the other sets mentioned here

As long as they don't bring back Daytona... I feel unique with mineBig%20smile

Dammit, i guess i will lose my uniqueness with my 8 speed Athena.  At least my replacement chains only cost R99 at Sportmans Warehouse.
