vermaak Posted May 18, 2009 Share What a day! Wet & windy. My face felt like I was being slapped with a fly swatter with the hard rain. To top it all we started 10 minutes late, put the hammer down to catch the back markers and at +/- 3 Km into the race a guy in a bakkie informed us that we were goining in the wrong direction. Back to the start.....and....we started again. The race felt like a day on the Orange river, without a boat. Very well organized despite the VERY BAD CONDITIONS!! Spud Posted May 19, 2009 Share Seems that making a joke these days on the hub is a no no. Everybody doing the 100 miler knows the weather will be crap. To those doing the race I say good luck. To those deciding to stay home I say good choice. I for one will be doing the race and share in the pain and hardship with all the other riders. I hope it rains.
