Let's see those Morewoods...

Sawdust - some truth in what they are saying but for all the wrong reasons.

100mm travel is ideal (obviously), but the frame will outgun the SID everytime. SID is too XC for the this XC bike, as it is a little light and would flex to much (in my opinion). The Zula really can handle a whole heap of whipp-ass out on the trail, it is one tough bike. So a Fox or a Reba I would say is better suited.

Maybe think about changing your LBS? :P

Nice looking bike there!

Thanks, it also rides as good as it looks. Did 2 rides over the weekend. One in the forest with lots of climbing and downhills and the second ride with mostly single track.

The single track is where the bike really impressed me. Just glides over obstacles, even with the rear shock set to pro-pedal (stiff) I have much more confidence than I had with my Anthem especially in the fast corners. Really happy with the bike so far.

 to my LBS for building the bike up so well. Everything is butter smooth!

Hi sawdust, have to agree with you the Zula is an incredible bike almost like it is on rails in the single track

Well done on your bike.

The Zula feels remarkably similar to the Shova on the downhills - and rough single track is where the bike excels!

Happy biking

Eventually got this a while back.

Thanx to the guys form Adrenaline Cycles - Grant, Rush sports - Andre and Bicicletta - Al/Shamus for making this happen.

I just didnt like the red - something about red scrathes me funny - not in good way.

Spec

Frame Zula L

Wheelset Industry nine

Brakes Formula R1

Shock Fox 23

Fork Sid World Cup

Cockpit Ritchey carbon

Seatpost Ritchey Superlogic

Fantastic machine - geart intro to full suss.

Super stable on anything downhill

Still climbs better than expected - almost like a hardtail.

Loving it!!!

Awesome bike and colour. I wouldn't mind the red spokes on my wheels! Is the shock that way because its a large frame? Mine is the other way around but medium frame. Does this make any difference?

I dont think so - might just be to have extra clearance for the bottle. Not sure though.

Loving the wheels - very fast rolling!

X.O all round makes shifting super smooth an precice and the Nior crank is also a nice addition.

It goes really well - well worth the wait!

I think I am done blinging my bike now.

White Zula

White Richey Stem

White American Classic Wheelset with red hubs

Resprayed white Fox Talus

Blue Hope bits and bobs

Bike is perfect now. :D

Just checked the Weight and it is 12.2kg. Not bad considering it is a Talus fork.

  • 4 weeks later...

ok, so I recently added another morewood to the bike shed, in the form of this:

Now I know it's not as bling or super slick as the other 'woods out there... but it's pretty darn rare. Don't think there is another one of these within a 300km radius of me... never mind the fact that one has never been posted on the hub before.
