  • 4 weeks later...

*Attempting* to resurrect this thread as I cannot read my PMs now. This is the second third attempt at posting, so perhaps that says something...

When clicking on the message link, I get the following message:

Server Error in Forum Application

An error has occured while sending an email.

Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_send_mail_footer

File Name:- functions_send_mail.asp

Primary browser: Chrome. Tested on IE6 to silence the naysayers - same result (just slower smiley1.gif).

The Hub has also been pretty unresponsive this morning - lots of refreshes required to view posts.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Andrew

Naa it seems that the IIS *vomit* cant connect to the SQL db or possibly table corruption.

It might be time to find a new hosting company methinks cos it seems to do this quite often lately.

I started thinking it was our IT department that was blocking me!!! Ouch

I dread the day that this actually happens...

This seems like a hardware failure on the hosting server - most likely a raided harddrive is gone (we have a lot of experience with this). This is causeing the SQL server to time out due to disk IO waiting.

Solution, they fix their server or move to another one - but then you have the issue of the SQL dump and restore!!! I live with this pain all too often.
