Wild West Road Ride

Recommended Posts

Kid that may be true to a certain extent. There are some scary @ssed critters out thereon the ride though. Hard core dudes like IanJ, Thug, Trubie etc.

I will need to be hanging onto the handle bars just to keep up. It's not the legs or the cold I am worrying about. Organised gloves, have thermal tights, a warm jacket. Will hijack one of wifey's scarves for the face. Snorted as far as the weather is concerned.

What irks me is that I will miss some sparkling company and I won't know what to do with myself if I don't ride.

Already this week I have been off the bike too much. Rode Sat, Sun and Tuesday. Feel like a very important part of me is missing something . LIKE A BIKE RIDE.

Last time Ox was here, it was a nice cool zero degrees at Xumbugs. Not the most pleasant ride ever, but it wasn't that bad. Cold is not as bad as you might think, Chicken KID.

I'll be off the the chemist dude shortly to try some anti inflamatories. Life on Saturdays without my bike between my legs sucks big time. I suppose sooner I getit done, sooner I'll know if I can ride.

Back later.

IanJ, I'm off the the chemical man.

Dudes, we have been hyping up this ride for a monthand so far it is the biggest hub ride I have ever been part of.

So I simply have to be there even if it'sonly to finally meet you crazy bunch.

I'll not miss this ride / meet for anything. I may have to wimp out and take the pink blouse though, but I have to be there.

Time to meet the rest of you that I haven't met.

'sides, I think Ox is expecting a write-up on the little excursion and I too have some minor mods to test.

Getting my bike back from a service this morning. I'm so going to dress like a ninja tomorrow morning, hope I don't overheat later on, my jacket made for polar bear weather.

Can't wait to meet everyone I haven't met at the Dome crits earlier this year.

So Nanosec Nialls will be a Ninja and I'll be the Mitchelin Man with all my layers!!

You sure about that WW?

I think everyine is going to be under cover tomorrow. Just wait till you see Trubie decked out in skiing outfit looking like he's doing the first Antacrtic bike ride ever.

He looks seriously Ninja with all his winter kit.

(Plus he's a big dude, so if I don't make it tomorrow, know that he did me in en route and dumped the body.)

So now there are NO excuses for not riding. just think of it as conditioning and hill training with additional weight to strengthen legs.

So, I'm thinking if I stir this up enough, Trubie is gonna do me in and dump the body on one of those disused mine lots out west. Only excuse that may work yet.

(MWAAHAHAHAHAHA.)

What? Minus 2? Ox said it would be warming up so was expecting 0 degrees.

So is this like a buggin that you get by the Plaza and all? 2 extra degrees colder.

Don't worry Slave, by the time you climb out of the car at Riverstone it will be a toasty 4/5 degrees outside and the sun will be shining.

Spare a thought for us hardcore* okes leaving home at 05:45.

* = hardcore = euphemism for stoopid

You said it Thug.

Refer my previous post re .38 calibre (Luger). I will be leaving home at 05h45 as well, but in a nice warm car for the first section of the route from Alberton to the meeting place.

Then I begin with my BIG FREEZE. At least by the time you get there, you will either be all warmed up of just plain frozen solid.

Somehow "harcore" sounds so much less offensive than "Stooopid".

See ya all in the am. (yeah those brave enough to make it and complete their commitment to this ride.)

It should be fun once it warms up a bit.

Slave' date=' ask the chemist for Dicloflam, its the generic of Cataflam.  [/quote']

Isn't that for inflamed Dic's?

Should work for me then?
