Lets ask the Hub's "Powers that be" to open an official NAME and SHAME forum...... we can all complain there - they can moderate it and make sure we don't bash the retailers to much......  retailers can go and have a look at the forum and place their official response / reason.....

Now I guess some IT dude sitting behind a M03r of a bigg screen is monitoring this......

Maybe if I use some swear word they will look at this mail...F$@^$#ed! M0er Bl!ksem!!!!  Porn xxx ...........  oops I can click on contact us at the top.......

I will never bad mouth any LBS. But if you give me good service AND good advise, then I will forever recommend you.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

West Rand Cycles will get my first choice!! I?ve tried a couple of LBS in the same area and it?s all just ?the blank stare I got from the technician gave me the impression that the lights were on but Eskom was supplying not enough voltage to sustain it.?

I would highly recommend Eben and the team! (Eben must just invest in a Coffee machine)

Always had good service from them. I am even prepared to drive through from Pretoria for a decent service fromWestrand and a friendly chat with Eben.

shop service levels all reflect back to the store owner. If they firstly employ the right people who have some bike knowledge and then are the type of people who can actually sell its half way there. having been to so many bike stores its no wonder many of them are battling to stay in business. Good service goes such a long way and can even allow higher pricing than say importing goods from CRC. prob is owners are not around all the time and staff who usually dont give a sh*t either way simply destroy the businss.

Going by Hermanators clues in his original post - one of the biggest dealers in Gauteng with a large range and stock, with the owner not even riding a bike - it sounds like Cajees. If that's the case, then it is all about turnover and making a quick buck out of the larnies.

I'm not naming and shaming - just guessing!

So what is the problem?? We all know that they give good prices on a large range, sometimes older than what you think. But so what.

We all know this. Go buy from them and service elsewhere.

The Hub is full of stories about thier service.............

Pay your money and take your chances.

They are offering the market a "service" and the market likes it. even you. you just don't like the other services they provide. Do they care; I think not. So why should you?

Maybe I am a coward for not naming any names here' date=' but having my bicycle serviced yesterday at one of the largest cycling retailers in Johannesburg yesterday and the absolute lack of interest or knowledge of what is really going on out in the field was a absolute shocker.

To these guys it?s all about making money, selling stock and turnover.

If the manager of this establishment ? I guess has NEVER even been on a bicycle his entire life, then you have to wonder if it is a good idea to even deal with people like this?

Don?t get me wrong they have the best range of stock ? but unfortunately that?s where it ends.
