Toyota MTN Bike Park DJ nearly finished

We're getting close to finishing the DJ's at the bike park.  Look how sweet this trail is starting to look.

I was there this morning, and i must say the DJ course is starting to take very nice shape indeed....even the drop-in bridge is pretty much done.

 

You won't find me near the jumps though....but it looks like you guys gonna have some serious fun.

Damn, they look nice, Just big enough to BOOST high but not death defying (you can build those later) I also like diversity, switching lines and being creative is all part of it.

You can get quite a bit of height, I've seen Daft get big air on the 'beginner' line. The photo was taken from the drop-in, so everything looks a bit smaller than it is.

 

I'll have to put a DJ gear on the GT, just hope there's enough chain tension still. I tried jumping in my Trials gear but I just can't get enough speed. I can boost with everything I have and still not clear the first jump.

Boosting is a weird thing, mostly you go further if you stay lof and push over the lip, pump it etc..

 

But then sometimes you have a bit to much speed when boosting and overshoot, problem is that most of the time if you really give it horns it makes you come down nose heavy, I remember having some of these at gumtrails in Durbanville, not the place you want to crash, as they are BEEEG and the surface is HARD.

 

eitherway, If you get it just right, man oh man its sweet.
