Christopher Brunsdon Posted July 12, 2009 Share URL: http://www.oakvalley.co.za/mountain-bike-trail PLACE: OAK VALLEY DATE: Sunday 26 July TIME: ? (morning) TRAILS: Red 21km / 4hrs WEATHER: 25C its going to be a lovely day PICNIC: pack in picnic munchies? BRAAI: Confirmed we can bring gas braais, will pack mine in so we can have a Tjop afterwards! HUBBERS COMMING: * cbrunsdon* leet22* OneTime OK, so I'm in need of some training for MTB Challenge and my wife wants to go to Grabouw to visit old friends. I'm going to do a trail at Oak Valley and any & all Hubbers are welcome. (Confirmed that gas braai is OK. I'll also pack in an awesome picnic basket. Being pay day for me I do not mind contributing if any hubbers can make it, but are still on end of month salty cracks.) I'm out to have some overdue fun and if the weather is bad, well then I'm going to have even more fun * After much confusion and help from my wife I now understand which one is Oak Valley and which one is Lebanoncbrunsdon2009-07-21 13:03:
Wernervdmerwe Posted July 12, 2009 Share Would have been great - but I think I need to work on my climbing first - 4 hours for the red loop will be hard to swallow for a lot of guys
Overlord Posted July 12, 2009 Share Would have been great - but I think I need to work on my climbing first - 4 hours for the red loop will be hard to swallow for a lot of guys This will be a hub ride meaning time in the saddle will be great. I will join the ride and braai.
Christopher Brunsdon Posted July 12, 2009 Share Well we don't all need to do the red route. 4hrs might be tad to long to still want to socialise afterwards. Can do the short ones, I think the blue route will be the best. If the group is big enough then its easy to split. For me I'm in need of some fun and even doing a Sunday stroll around the outhouse is for me.

Wernervdmerwe Posted July 12, 2009 Share Hang on, I am confused, the URL is for Lebanon but the heading is for Oak Valley? Or is this code to all meet at Thandi's kitchen?

Tekkietown Posted July 12, 2009 Share No,i don't think so brunson.Only a picnic-area and a bike-wash zone with some showers.Gotta stick with the salties until they upgrade.
