Tubeless is best but stick to proper tubeless/UST tyres and rims. Most failures i have seen have been with conversions.

 

You must also use sealant to get the full benefits.

Has anybody actually tried inflating the tyre with lighter fluid and a match like they do 4x4 tyres in the veld.

 

 WTF???  That sounds more like a suicide bomber (aka AggghMed...) on a bicycle??

Have you never seen it Cassie? When the 4x4 okes fix a puncture in the veld they spray lighter fluid in and light it.
