...mmmm Question is.. will I keep up with my mountainbike..

Lets find out.

You should be able to. On rides like this, I ride at the slowest riders pace (which is me at this moment)

Hopefully, with the NW winds predicted, you are going to ride the R101 Kuils River Road out to GB and hide from the wind via Stellenbosh on the way home......other wise julle gaan k@k op pad huis toe after riding up 8/9% grade ave. to Pumphouse!! With a good NW'er you guys should ave. 45 kmp/h along that stretch of R101 road.

Who is joining me on a 80km LSD ride tomorrow morning, flat to rolling terrain, avg speed about 25km/h?

Start at McDonalds in Wellington rd, Durbanville at 07h30. Weather forecast is for cool weather, but no rain predicted. Wind 25km/h NW

Just a heads up guys. Weather forecast has changed, rain is now predicted for tomorrow morning. If it does rain at 07h00, I'll will not be riding.

Had to meet my training partner on the R44 as part of the start as he was spinning from Wellington.

Yeah, and guess who was on the front most of the way.......... LOL! (given that he had done 200Km in the week compared to my 16 on the IDT) - I must add that I had a nice aero position going and dropped him a few times sitting at a nice 33-35Km/h into the wind.

You have some world renown routes out your way - enjoy them :D
