A bunch of sufferfesting cyclists will roll together on early Sat morning.

Route starts in Stellenbosch and over Helz, Du Toitskloof Pass and Paarlberg's Taalmonument

It will be a tempo ride with ascents that will make Contador and Froome Dawg smile.

The route is over 110 kms and about 1500 metres ascent.

We aim to complete it in sub 4 (avg speed about 29-30 km/h).

Hope you chaps had a good ride this morning. As I thought I only got done quite late last night and rather did a ride from home this morning than get up earlier to drive out towards Stellies before starting the ride.

 

Also been a little under the weather, so felt a tad reserved about a hard paced ride...

It was a hot one in the splendid Paarl Valley where we did the bulk of the work today.

Ascended the Taalmonument 'Wall' for the 1st time.

Several riders also climbed their 1st Cat 1 in Du Toitskloof Pass.

 

A special day in the saddle.
