Best upgrade - keep the frame & wheels & upgrade to Campag !!! (even Mirage would be an upgrade)!!!LOL

Nice frame - if you like it, keep it.

For upgrading I would normally say wheels. Some superlight tubbies will take strain under 90kg's. Perhaps some Zipp 404 clydesdales, or my favourite wheels, Reynolds, just make sure of the weight limit. If you race a lot, go for a set of tubbies, and keep the mavics to train on. If you ride a lot, but don't race that much, get some nice clincher wheels. Fulcrum also nice.

I don't think upgrading the Ultegra grupo to Dura Ace would be worthwhile, unless for bling reasons. I prefer Campagnolo components, but ride somebody's campy bike before considering changing over - Since you have always ridden Shimano, you may not like the campy stuff.

you guys are all so sensible. it all make sense. problem is: cycling makes me feel like small kid. kids want new toys. i know i could do better lowering my body fat and getting into even better shape. BUT new bike still sounds cool

Sorry, I misunderstood your post; thought you wanted advice. Seems you actually only want permission.

Zipp 404s

Go forth and burn up that budget accountThumbs%20Up

.... kids want new toys...

In that case I'm with wolverine: Zipp 404 clydesdales, either clinchers or tubbies, as a first priority.

Next upgrade to look foreward to would be a top of the range groupset.

For the money it will take to buy a real bike, you could build a new room on your house for your present bike!!!!!

Go the whole hog buy a Eddy Merckx (Top carbon frame) with record group set, Bora wheels and ceramic bearings which should turn at about (where is the calculator) yes R80 000. or try a Pinerello, time, look or cervello with similar jewelry at about the same price.

Naa, rather build a new room and buy a set of ASSOS bibs (R1500) and a new FIZIK Aroine carbon braided saddle at just short of R4K

Why are you guys so cheap??

Go for gold. Get that Temple bike featured in Bicyling a while back. Looked quite nice, but at R270 000??
