Hey retro collectors.

Please if any of you can help.

Over the past two days I've stripped and rebuilt my bike which has been great.

While fitting the front caliper, I notice that the grub screw(blue arrow) is missing. In my haste to leave home this morning I left the caliper. Does anyone know what the dimensions of the mentioned item are. I'm right near JKM this arvi and I would like to replace. post-85428-0-30920900-1452847462_thumb.jpg

Hey Small Fry, have you tried bicycle shops. Where are you based?

I am sure a local  bolt and nut shop might have as well.

I'm in JHB. I've not tried bike shops. If I don't come right with dimensions I'll make a turn past Linden cycles. Thanks for the reply.

Hi peeps

As we always seeing the guys from jozi doing some social rides and I always feel guttered that i cant join. I reach out to the peeps in CT this weekend. There is a bike bus leaving Muizenberg on Sunday at 9am. They will be riding to Open Streets in Bree Street. Im sure you guys saw Open Streets being advertised all over social media. If not it would be a nice day to get the family out. The whole of Bree street will be closed and a car free zone. There will be activities taking place in the street with loads of stores open and things to do. I would like everyone who can make it to participate in this event if they can. I nice social ride to CPT CBD can also be the start to many more social rides going forward and it can also be a nice place to start meeting the peeps behind the PC screen who we chat to on a daily bases.

Please let me know if anyone is keen and ill try and get some more information about the ride. If you on facebook search bike bus open streets.

Hope to see you guys there.

We can combine postage from the UK.

Cheaper from the US;

I used 700 x 28 "Gatorskin Hardshell" tyres for Tour of Ara 2014. Not one puncture... i can highly recommend them.

The other popular choice was Schwalbe Marathon Plus touring tyres - a bit heavy but bulletproof.

Both locally available.

I used Gators 28 for Eroica Britannia and they worked a treat. 28 up front and 25 at the back.

Just searched again and I see CWC has the Gators, but not the hard shells :wacko:
