So this took a while. Resprayed my Pinarello Montello because the paint was damaged a bit too much for my liking. The the help of fellow Hubber Bert who organized the decals for me and the many hours spent at woodstock cycle works with Dane Nils and Ralf who was trying to teach me how to straighten the front wheel this build has been every bit exciting to put together! Thanks for everyone who helped, its much appreciated. Polished up Campagnolo parts and I'm extremely happy with the outcome.

Hey Kamaal, Perhaps my poor knowledge, but I thought the Treviso and Montello were completely different models! They have different BB lugs

Montello

Treviso has a NORMAL BB shell and is named after the town Treviso, where Pinna's are made.

Edit: The Treviso's also have a bridge across the chainstays ..... WHOOPS, JUST SEE THAT THAT IS RUBBISH

All Pinna's have, or most, the name Treviso on the bottom of the BB.

If I'm wrong, happy to learn something new.

Hi all. Looking at Kamaal's beauty above reminded me of an enquiry i've wanted to post on a previous occasion. Who can I contact in the Cape Town area that would be able to assist in "buff polishing" older cranksets. I have 2 where the sparkle has worn off; would love to get that old shine back. Thanks Sean

Kamaal gets them to shine better than new, just go back on this thread a little and have a look.

I try to get mine the same, but somehow I don't, either I'm less patient, or just rubbish at it!!!

But you might try it yourself, after learning from Kamaal. All you need is a buffing wheel and something to spin it, nothing too expensive. Then some rubbing compund, or the buffing polish panelbeaters use. Some sand paper, going from about 300 to 1200 grain.

Then, elbow grease. A good way to spend an afternoon doing something constructive and not getting into any trouble.
