Where can you get 29er tyres in SA.  I have seen Specialized tyres at Fritz Pienaar - where else?

Does anyone stock 29er UST tyres (GEAX TNT tyres or Hutchinson Python UST or any other UST 29er tyre)?

Thanks

Richard

Bowman in Cape Town has the widest range I've seen, including tubeless ready models (Bontrager), Kenda, etc. That may not be much use to you in Gauteng of course, but they may be prepared to post them to you.

I'm afraid I ordered a few with my last batch from Chain Reaction.

I picked up some Hutchinson Pythons Tubeless ready from Westdene Cycles last month. For a 29er tyre they are pretty light and sealed up straight away with Stans.

Cycle Lab in Centurion Pta have some as well. Ask your local dealer to get hold of the Conti Agent, they got awsome Mountain Kngs - running them on my full suss and loving them. Bontrager XDX on hardtail also very good.

check out coolheat on the links section. They will be able to give you best advice as they are realy keen to get bike hops to start promoting 29ers. They are in joburg

I ride Geax and had ridden Pythons. Got the Geax from Fritz in Paulshof. Just ask and they will order. Pythons from Morningside. I have never had problems finding tires.

We now have Conti Mountain King Folding and Race King Folding 29er Tyres at R346.28

Any idea how well these hold air in a tubeless setup? I have Mavic c29ssmax wheels.

The new WOLVERINE 2.2 29er arrived on Friday. Around R545 a tyre incl VAT. Great for hardtail or FS use --- 2.2 is a bit more volume for more cush and traction. Around 820g a tyre.

I can confirm that the 2.4 29'er Mountain Kings are pretty awesome, I've damaged the one sidewall already but then again I was being pretty silly!
