bored girl: We came around the one turn' date=' and I saw her in the bunch up close to the front (she was with the DL bunch after puncturing), next thing HUGE crash... people wiped out all over the place.  Her wheel was messed, tyre blew... Both hands were injured & right shoulder was VERY sore.  We loaded her up & took her to the finish... not sure how much medical support they had out on the road, but they must have been very busy, and I imagine there were plenty of people sitting at the side of the road for a very long time.[/quote']

Thank You Wouter from Physic Mania(i think) for helping me fix the puncture 7km into the race.

ClapClapClap

A big Thank You to Michelle for picking me up after the crach and taking me to the medical tent.

ClapClapClap

Much appreciated. Smile

Luckily, no bones broken and the rest can be replaced.

I'll be back on the bike in no time. Big%20smile

Anybody ride in the B group Yesterday? Seems like that group was the fastest shortest for the day.

Correction LOL

Hey now dont be nasty with us in the B group. Our speed was to high to turn right so we went straight. After that we negotiated with the marshall for a shorter race. After all we were on our own and couldnt wheel suck any other groups. smiley36.gif smiley4.gif smiley2.gif

Maybe I'm envious Wink LOL

B bunch should count their lucky stars for not having to negotiate the potholes in that corner! (I was in a group of 6, and we gave the marshals a fright... ignoring the potholes and all!)

I was fortunate to be in the leading B bunch. The marshall told us we were on the wrong route. The second bunch were not so lucky and apparently only turned 60 - 65mk's into the race when they realized something was wrong.

Wow! That oom with the snor and the guy with the moerse camelbak almost pipped Arran on the line!

That oom is a past SA's champ ( in his age group)  needs a GPS on a ride sometimes as he gets kinda lostWinkWinkWink.  Still a good rider though.

Why did they not put traffic cones at the finish to separate the two groups.  If someone had fallen there it would have been really messyOuchOuchOuchOuchOuchOuchOuchOuch

Good luck to all the wounded get well soon.

Now look, no-one's jealous of B group's 102km-do-your-own-thing-avoid-the-only-hill-in-the-race antics.

But the cherry on the cake for me was hearing that a guy near the front of B coming to the finish emptied his water bottle in preparation for the sprint of this non-race.

LOLLOLLOLLOL

Actually anyone in any of our races emptying their bottle before the sprint is kinda amusing.

Does it happen much; am I missing something?

I'm glad you are OK and hope you are at full strength shortly. I was lucky to miss the crash with a sort off-road detour.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
