Brakkies Sport Fotos Posted August 12, 2009 Share I was wondering of some of you is commuting into the Cape Town CBD with the bike in the mornings and out in the afternoon I?m starting in B?Fell and have the following route in mind: Will go over the Welgemoed Golf Course hills, straight over and through Edgemead till you get the Bosmansdam Rd, then go towards the Wooden bridge in Milnerton and than on that road towards Paarden eiland and in @ the Harbour Gate, out on the other side at the KIKS entrance. I don?t want to go on the (N1) at paarden eiland, rather slip through the harbour. I?m also going to do the route over a weekend to get the time it?s going to take. Is there any of you who is doing the commuting thing and knows a better route to take? Thinking of leaving home @ 5h30 -5h45 from Sept Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Daai goed is soos seep!As jy deur die hawe ry kan jy altyd deurry tot by die VA ingang (daar by die BMW dealership) en dan sny jy 'n groot klomp van die robotte uit on die brug. Kan ook vannaf Oosterseestasie tot Sableweg teen spoorlyn langs ry.Die opsies is legio!Behoort jou so 'n uur en 'n bietjie te vat, hang af hoe baie jy wil sweet! Soos willehond se, passop vir die hawe spoorlyne. Die pad is gewoonlik vol olie en diesel. Het ook my gat gesien op daai nat spoorlyne (met bergfiets)! ShortLegs Posted August 14, 2009 Share I commuting from Parklands but our routes converge at Wood Bridge pops. I usually take the N1 route unless it's howling in which case I chance the rail-tracks/trucks through the harbor. I alternate duk/dun wiel depending on the forecast. Vat bietjie langer, maar klein bietjie veiliger.Julle moet net onthou dat die hawe volgens wet nie n openbare fasiliteit is nie en toegang gaan binnekort heeltemal beheerd wees. Die huidige Heerengracht gaan toegemaak word en slegs mense met werks permitte vir die hawe sal toegelaat word by die drie hoof in/uit gange. Die stelsel gaan weg van die sekerheidswag (no bribes) geneem word en jou vingerafdruk is al wat jou sal toegang gee.Dit beteken dat daar geen ander opsie gaan oorbly as om die N1 te gebruik nie. Ek weet nie tot watter mate die nuwe bus stelsel en roetes vir ons fietsryers gaan voorsiening maak nie, maar dit sal in elk geval eers gebeur nadat die hawe lankal verbode terein vir ons geword het!
