Dit is moer sexy! This is my perfect, ultimate bike, right down to the colour.

Hier moet 'n age restriction op die thread wees! Awesome!

Added a bit more detail to spec sheet.

Although this is intended to be an AM/trail bike, with this spec it is very much a race capable beast as well as not flinching in any hairy descents the organisers might throw in the mix. 3 foot drops are hardly felt and the steering is so good that you can pick your way through any sections you cant ride over and thats not much.

All i can say is "Thanks Pat, I love my bike, I love my wifes pink one too. Nice working for you guys, anything else....give me a call and we can talk about my next bike Wink"

After all the time I spent at the factory and seeing just how much passion is put into these bikes I believe mine will be with me long past my two hip replacements and colostomy bag....Clap

Hey Boarder,

Sweet ride there, my Ellsworth Epiphany has a xc build to it and weighs more or less the same as your shova.

Here in the RSA people are so hung up with weight, but personally I reckon that a 12,5kg  trail bike that climbs like a goat and bombs down singletrack would a fantastic bike for a race like the epic.

Hi Boarder

I would like the moderator to please remove your post.

We are in a recession and it should be illegal to post such a Awesome bike on the list.

Great Bike ... wish I was you smiley1.gif

Morewood sponsored bikes to an epic team last year, cant remember who but they had a daily blog going, and really enjoyed the bikes.

What did that cost you?

Bos,

The Frame Fork and Oro's were payment for some contracting I did for Morewood mid '07 to mid '08, mainly writing CNC programmes for the new Mbuzi, Makulu, as well as the yet un-named xc/marathon bike (Aug Bicycling) Also a bit of a redo on the programmes for the shova dropouts and swingarms.

I then did some further work for them and had a repeat of the same deal and built up a Shova in pink for my wife.

The rest of the build cost about R18,500. but I purchased over the course of the contract so it was a bit at a time, really did my homework and priced everything local and CRC and purchased accordingly so managed to save a fair amount by shopping smart - the spreadsheets got really large Big%20smile.

The Pink one is Specced full XT with LX wheelset K18's and Rockshox Revelation 140-100 RTWD.

I have fitted the Pinky with some 50/50's due to us having had a son in Dec '08 and my wife not doing too much riding. I now use it to ride around our estate with my 4 year old daughter and generally mucking about.
