one of the LBS owners mentioned in passing that the local distributor for Marzo stuff might be going under, or the distributorship would be changing hands. Again.

Hope it's just bangmaakstories to get me to buy a Boxxer. Kinda luv my current marzo. She rocks hard.

btw: tried the URI provided by Crow. But it bombs.

For starters, does the forks actually have the places to put these bosses you are looking for or are they disc specific. I can not see how a new fork that is drilled for v-brakes does not come with the bosses.

Almost all of the Marzocchis come with v brake "places". But the bosses are optional.

Yeah, I think the link bombs cause the guys were having some WE issues. Same guys who've been selling Rocky Mountain on crazy specials direct to the public on The Hub.

When I priced and speced them when I was building the Mojo, they were a lot heavier than comparative Fox and RS forks and, surprisingly, more expensive!

Stick to a BOXXER or 40.

crow: did u compare the 2010 marzo's and RS boxxers? I know the pre-2010 marzo's were weight pigs compared to just about anything else out there. didnt help that generally, the ?pre-2010 reliability was as crap as the stuff was heavy.

I wont mind a 2009 boxxer, but looking for 2010 boxxer or marzo. The new marzo's look and sound (based on published specs) amazing. bombproof butter sounds really appealing ;)

I got Some for mine 3 weeks ago, R180, got them within 3 days, They sent them to Mt LBS, didnt want to deal with me direct Wish they make them a bit lighter! the bloody things weigh a bloody ton. ok mabe 150g, thats after I brought a Easton EC 90 SL handlebar.. there goes the weight savings..

I just realised that my current shock has a 28mm diameter steerer tube and the marzo im buying has 32mm casting..i passume thats the steerer tube? My rooki-ness is very apparant!! How big a problem is that guys???

Are you sure you are talking about the Steerer Tube (top section of the fork that goes into the frame) and not the Stanchions (Pillars on the sides that moves up and down).

Stanchions for Entry Level forks are usually 28mm (Rockshox Dart), and Medium to High End Forks 32mm (Fox / Rockshox Recon / Reba, with the exception of some SID's that are 28mm for weight saving).
