Permission to ride 94.7 route twice?

Do you need to get permission to ride the 94.7 route twice? A group of us are thinking about doing it as a training ride? I just want to know if you need to get permission to do so?

How often do you get to ride Jozi streets traffic free - might as well make the most of it.

Just take your timing chip off when you do the second lap otherwise they'll be a bit confused when they see your name come up twice at the finish... I'm also thinking of doing a second lap this year.

You have to enter twice and then ask to be seeded in the last batch for the second lap and ride with the elites for the first lapBig%20smile

As far as I was aware last year they asked folk NOT to ride the route twice, as they did at the Argus.

Pretty sure if you contact race office they will confirm this.

Argus have a problem.  Did not recall any issues with the 94.7 folk.  As long as you start your second lap before the last group departs.

Surely if you do it twice, you must pay twice.

After all, you get twice the benefit of those doing one lap. Twice the water tables, twice the medical services .... etc!

If you go to restaurant and order a second meal you have to pay for it!

Yes. The organisers may allow you to ride. I would pay for a second entry.

I did the ride and race with permission no hiccupps.

You may ride a second lap but its real tight. You need to be back before the last group leaves which is at about 9:30

If you can get off in a ealry group it will give you time to get back by 9:30.

The highway needs to be opened as soon as possible so very little time is allowed after the last group.

My 'strong' training buddies have ridden it twice a few times....shouldnt be a problem if your timing chip is off.
