nathrix Posted September 25, 2009 Share My 'new' 18" GT frame It's the original hand made in the "U S of A" Zaskar Le Competition Series aluminium frame with only v-brake mounts This frame was such a success, that GT decided a year or two ago to release a re-issue; a replica of this limited edition Zaskar Le frame in limited numbers. The re-issue frame comes with only disc mounts Will update with frame's weight soon! So far on my 'wish' list:- Mavic Crossmax SL for v-brakes wheelset- Will run on foldable tires with lots of Stan's new 'race' tire sealant - XX Groupset - Fox RLC F80 front fork have that already- CrankBrothers 4-Ti pedals- Selle Italia SLR C64 saddle Will update with pics, weight etc. as i go along Any comments and suggestions welcome! nathrix2009-10-02 07:40:47 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rock, it will be nice to get hold of the parts you mentioned and build it up, but i would like it to have a 'retro-modern' look to it, if i can call it that if you know what i mean. Should work nicely with the chrome finish - you?ll have to give up the XX (methink this crank only in three c/r format unlike the bigger and much more expensive carbon FSA) Would also be nice to get a "Judy yellow" shock - maybe personalised SID? Riser bars will complement the handling nicely - monkey lite? Is that easton tubing? The last year?s USA made no longer used Easton - pity! rock Posted September 26, 2009 Share those brakes would be perfect - you can see the cable guide on the back of the seat tube....would have to get a retro fork with the ectre pull brake guide as well - like a yellow Judy SL......man those were sexy back in the day. .......at least find some Onza bar ends on ebay.....
