L'Bie Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I started with cantilevers, moved to V-brakes both on th righthand side. That made sence, because all motorbikes have the front brakes on the righthand side, don't they. Moved to disks and they were swapped to the lefthand side. WTF. I checked the possibilities and changed them back to the righthand side. Its the only logical way! why change it?
L'Bie Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I would guess my PID control loop needs tuning!!Especially when MTBking. , you know something about control instrumentation!!
Tumbleweed Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 everything on the left is for the front and everything on the right is for the back. the things you use most should be on the right...wait, you're not one of those mtbers, er, atbers, who locks up on the trail, are you?
TNT1 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 everything on the left is for the front and everything on the right is for the back. the things you use most should be on the right... ... unless you're a left-handed oddity...?
levett Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 If you come from the UK, it is a 'requirement' to have the front brake on the left (or at least it used to be) - hence a bike supplied from the UK will brobably be 'setup' with the front on the left. Swapping over was not a problem with 'cable brakes', but disc prakes are usually 'handed', so you need to specify which way you want them.
Dirtbreath Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Using your left hand feels like somebody else is doing it.
