Kansas Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Well my other half is more in the MTB scene and I'm a roadie
Dibles Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Go for it Piernas! http://www.cyclelicio.us/2009/10/male-cyclists-more-attractive-than.html "In a survey by the Cycle Show of women attending the Show, the fairer sex found fans of cycling the most attractive from a list of typically male sporting pursuits. Cycling came out as the top choice of hobby for prospective partners with 36% of respondents voting in its favour; beating the number one male hobbies of football (17%) and rugby (14%). The women questioned revealed that not only are they more happy for prospective partners to spend time cycling when not spending time with them, but also that they are equally positive about the idea of cycling as a romantic experience. 44% of those questioned chose a bike ride as their top first date activity. Football fans faired less well, with only 17% of respondents choosing a trip to the football as their ideal first date. Cyclists were also frequently described as ?kind', ?considerate' and ?intelligent' whereas the majority of women questioned felt that football fans were typically ?aggressive', ?selfish' and ?proud.' Piernas Flacas Posted October 29, 2009 Author Posted October 29, 2009 Guys, thanks for your replies. Just to let you know I decided *NOT* to date the non-cyclist lady in question. Not because of her never been on a bike in her life but because of her boring, dull, comatose and passive-agressive personality that didn't match my friendly, fun, charismatic, mountainbiker one
AndreZA Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 my friendly' date=' fun, charismatic, mountainbiker one [/quote'] when did that happen?
Dirt*girl™ Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Sheeehs, that's a bit harsh. You could have just said 'we don't get along'.
Kansas Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Sheeehs' date=' that's a bit harsh. You could have just said 'we don't get along'.[/quote'] You see mountian bikers are rude
AndreZA Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 how many times did she look at her phone during the evening? For me it is once and the date is over.
Kansas Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 how many times did she look at her phone during the evening? For me it is once and the date is over. Woman always look at their phone
Andyr249 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Kansas, seems like you not getting the hint then! My girlfriend doesn't cycle but has expressed numerous times her intention to start once she returns from overseas. Which would be great because then we can both enjoy riding but could also bring about a few problems. I think it is great if both partners cycle as long as they understand that they can't always cycle together.
Bbox Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 My GF is a real lady (muddy MTB trails is not her cup of tea)......but she supports me cycling and loves to go along whenever I race.
Nettie R Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 that didn't match my friendly' date=' fun, charismatic, mountainbiker one [/quote'] Or maybe your ego didn't fit through the door when she invited you in.
Piernas Flacas Posted October 29, 2009 Author Posted October 29, 2009 my friendly' date=' fun, charismatic, mountainbiker one [/quote'] when did that happen? I really don't know. My mom told me so Anyway, about the lady: I should have actually avoided her since the first date when she started complaining about her co-workers as if I already knew who they were. Tolerant as I am I let her vent her sorrows. The problem was when it became a repetitive pattern for the next couple of dates with no other conversation topic. Dirt girl: I suppose you're right. And probably the lady is also saying the same things about me.

Gman1834 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 When I met my wife (then GF) she did not cycle, after some time I got her a MB and then a road bike, we went on honeymoon taking the MB with. She likes to cycle not as competitive but for the fun. We ride together and chat about cycling. One day our family will become larger and then i have to buy small bikes. bottom line I still ride my Hard tail and Giant road bike no money for upgrades! Gman18342009-10-29 08:16:46
