Dimension Data Rider No. VA234. Next time keep your goo sachets till the end of the race and then dispose of your rubbish!!!!

I had just commented on this in the bad day in the cradle thread.

Not sure if its the same guy who rode in the A bunch?

I was asked to post the following apology on helaf of the culprit.

Rider VA234 feels very bad about this incident. I found out its a friend of mine' date=' and after a few klappe, gave him a stern talk about manners etc.

He shows remorse and has given me the undertaking that he will stop this bad habit, even go further and stop throwing his chicken bones and Mc Donalds containers out the car window on the highways and byways.

As part of his rehab programme, he will sweep the routes afterwards for empty discarded gel wrappers, of the next 5 races he partcipates in.

All very well Trubie, but who is going to make sure he does sweep the 500km of routes for gel wrappers? I don't see it happening! As long as he just doesn't throw them again.

whasp make gel bottles so this littering issue can go away forever.

Our gels are 50g compared to 35g odd gels on market and retail for R13.99 at most which is like R4 cheaper than the other guys and you get more...

If you buy a bottle it works out to R10 a gel...how do you cal that expensive ?

And you didnt push him off his bike because???

I had some dude drop a wrapper infront of me at a race earlier in the year  so I caught up to him, gave him a piece of my mind, had him verbally abuse me and then had the rest of the bunch drop him like the fat sack that he was! LOL

The emphasis is on "ORGANISE properly" and not "volunteers"..... everybody at a waterpoint are volunteers.

Now there is some brilliant reasoning.... Why don't remove all the volunteers who sacrifice their weekends so that we can enjoy ourselves?!? Let's get profesionals to do the job! Oh yes, forgot to mention entry fees will now be comparible to the Epic for a one day event... Better solution not always the most feasible... The cyclist is at fault here - not the volunteers.

LOL Sounds like me!

This was my first long race ever. I punctured and never knew what to do with the tube and I couldn't get it to fit back into the saddle bag. Embarrassed

Looking at my latest times I must maby start with a tube around my nek...Embarrassed

That's a good idea, my pockets are usually stuffed with bar ones, gel packets, cell phone etc and i waste time trying to juggle the contents to fit the tube in.
