Ride the Morewood Zula, Scapel/Rize and Anthem X.  Try to ride at least one of the 29ers Big%20smile.

Snor ride as many bikes as you can before you decide. Not sure if anyone has sugested one of those ride before you buy days.

And then at the end of the day it will come down to personal preferance. The whole bunch of us on here are just giving you are personal favourites. Some really good bikes out there just go and ride them.

Good luck and have fun.

Personally I'd go for this one:

Don't think your R40k is going to cover it......but while you are at it spending that amount, you should rather go for the best.  http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/cool_shades.gif

Incorrecto. For 2010, we have the Ibis Mojo starting from R 36820 complete with the SLX kit from Ibis. www.ibiscycles.com

"That one" being the one in the pic with will not be less then R40,000, will it??

Get a bike that can take a water bottle cage  - not Ibis

It should be below 10kg   - go for Scott Spark or Spezialised if u can. XC has lots of ups and downs - need to be light
