The race - Bakwena - 95km. Just turned at the 50km mark -busy riding with VC bunch, when a guy pulls out of the bunch and begs for a allen key set ! His saddle had come loose - brand new bike and he had left his set in the car. I said I would pull over and help ! We loose about 5min and he can't thank me enough ! He then tells me " tuck in and I will drag you back to your mates and the bunch". Wind was lekker strong, but this "Champ" of a rider pulled me all the way back, to where I wanted to be and then bolted on to regain a decent time ! At the end of my race - there he was waiting - to personally thank me again !! Wasn't necesary -but he made sure that he did ! Great to see top riders take the time and are genuine in their efforts to "pay back" to the sport !

Glen Fowler - you are a "Gent & a Scholar" ! I did okay - thanks !

Glen and his sons are great people! I would not expect less from him.

Him and his sons ride like machines!!

I trained with them in the past and they never looked down on no one, always made a point of greeting everyone that passes by.

Thats So awesome, Silverstreak you are the true gent to have stopped and helped my dad out and to have posted such a great thank you on here. He was quite choked up when I showed him this, thank you so much.

Guys Silverstreak is the real person to be clapping 4, so many ppl did not even bat an eyelid when my old man asked for help and this man pulled over out of a comfortable bunch to lend a hand. What u give from the heart will truly be given back tenfold, Thank you so much again.

No need to thank me - I've been helped by some very special people over the years, in big and small ways and this made me fall in love with the sport ! If we can change one persons outlook, in any sport, we reap the rewards. go to www.chequeredclub.weebly.com and have a lekker lag !!!

Good luck on the 94.7 - to you and all . This one I can't stop and help - to many of my mates want my hide, but will gladly throw off spares !! Nice meeting you and your "Champ" dad !

Safe pedaling & many smilages

there are alot of good guys in the sport.

about 8 years back I did the ride for sight, but decided to enter the shorter distance so they seeded me right upfront.

At one stage I stopped to help one of the under 16 riders with a flat. After we got the flat sorted he pulled me along to catch the group we were in. I never saw him again, but good on him.
