Request to men: Pre-race etiquette

So what if he pisses during a race? Many riders do it all the time.

It's probably not my problem during their race - I don't ride there. I feel sorry for the other riders that get hit with pee by an incontinent adult.

 

My real issue is men who are too lazy to walk/ride 100m up the street' date=' but to whip it out and whizz against anything, anywhere before a race in clear view of women and small children.

Sounds very much like 100% of the smokers in this country.  Not very considerate and leaving their sigarette butts everywhere.  But let's not start that argument.

 

Whipping it out in public is not cool.

It seems as if some people are missing the point of the original post completely. It has nothing to do with having to go for a pee and there is no toilet around. This has happened to most of us at some stage. The point is that as with all things in live consider those around you and walk the extra 3.75m to a tree or bush, go to the back or front, don't piss in the start pen etc.  I don't think anybody is judging you because you have the bladder control of a 7 year old but I do believe most are judging you because you have the intellect of a 7 year old.

 

Think about this - females have it much worse than males. They actually have to piss their pants or stop and de-bib. Have you ever seen a female cyclist squat on the pavement or start pen?

Ihave seen this at Epic, the world cup in Pmb...the europeans have no inhibitations. I worked with a dutchman (from Holland) at the Epic a few years back and a dutch ladies team squatted at the back of our van and had a pee while talking to Robert who was standing in front of them...
