How do i wash the shorts? Do I need to use the 'special' washing powder?

Does it have to be a handwash or can I just chuck them in the machine with the rest of the washing and a normal washing powder?

Thanks.

Aren't there instructions on the packaging?

Should be fine in the machine on 'delicates', cool wash with no softener.

If you are really pedantic, get the special Assos soap, and hand wash them.

Surely at that price they wash themselves and make you coffee when they are done?

Assos Cleaning Guidelines

Washing a garment means putting stress on fabric and seams! Therefore, wash cycling garments separately from other clothes / accessories to prevent friction.

Before washing, turn the garments inside out (seems on the outside).

Machine-wash is possible but always use a wash bag, a delicate cycle and lukewarm water(max. 30? C).

Do not use bleachers and/or softeners. Use a mild liquid detergent only (e.g. ASSOS active wear cleanser).

Do not soak, wring or rub. Do not spinafter washing. To remove excess water from your garment gently squeeze by hand.

Dry garments flat or hanging, but do not tumble dry.

Active Wear Cleanser:
When laundering we recommend traditional hand washing using ASSOS Active Wear Cleanser or a mild liquid detergent. ASSOS Active Wear Cleanser is delicate on elastic fibers, PH neutral, neutralizes odors, enhances breathing of textiles and maintains sharp color sublimation

I haven't read such a crock ever since I've read the instructions on how to care for a pet rock.

Obviously, tumble drying isn't good for anything, but a sports garment that cannot be washed is a machine like anything else, is not worth owning.  All that nonsense about mild detergent and wash bags smacks of poofter clothing.

A washing bag should be used only because the bib short may tangle with other clothing and may stretch....you buy a pack of 3 washing bags at P&P for R20......you really do not want your ASSOS to STRETCH!!! use the bag!!!

wash it in cold water, normal soap should remove the skidmarks, dont leave it wet and scrunched up in a ball as the colour will bleed into the white bib straps, hang up and airdry in shade...

So hows your Pet Rock doing JB, grown at all? haha

BS...I've been washing my bibs like any other piece of  clothing for more than 10 years now without stretching or any other washing induced issues.

I washed my Capestorm short by hand for about the first 5 washes. Got fed up and wash it in the machine now. I only wash it with all the other plastic athletic gear on delicate and no softener. Been over 2 years and no problems at all.

Naaah, he just parks off all day. Quite aloof, the bugger.

He (or is it a she, I must look), is costing me a fortune in upkeep. All this mild, natural organic soap applied with a genuine sea sponge, rubbed in small but firm clockwise circlular movements and rinsed with spring water, costs a penny.

I was tempted once to just wash him/her in the washing machine but he put up such a racket inside there, especially during the spin cycle, that I resorted back to the instructions.
