is fast approaching

Or is that Dilemma time?

As my new Moorewood Zula Frame (Black) has been ordered

I?m now faced with the rest of winter

To decide what parts to install

So many options?

Woe is me Big%20smile

Question:

Which Fork, brakes (Disks eeiii yes I?m going to try those disks), wheels, group set?.to put together the most awesome XC / Marathon machine this side of Planet ZogXR123 (Neptune to you humans)?

Objective:

Hassle free parts not prone to frequent failure or maintenance / overhaul to put together the most awesome XC / Marathon machine this side of Planet ZogXR123 (Neptune to you humans)?

All sensible suggestions / argumunts are welcome.

Go SRAM XX if you have a lot of money!

Otherwise here is a list of components that won't break the bank but also won't let you down.

Fork: RockShox Reba

Crank: Shimano XT / Truvative Noir

Wheels: Shimano XT

Brakes: Avid Elixir CR

Shifters: SRAM X0

RD: SRAM X0

FD: SRAM X9/X0

Post - Bar -Stem: Anything light. KCNC comes to mind. The Red KCNC post would look so awesome of a white Zula.

I believe I won the lotto next week, so will have enough spare cash.

Fork: RockShox Reba - versus SID?
Crank: Truvative Noir - Are the Truvative BB's any good compared to xtr?
Brakes: Avid Elixir CR - Versus Formular R1?

Reba vs SID, weight and price. Reba's are awesome value for money.

Truvative BB's vs XTR - Don't know if they are any better. XTR's rule though.

Elixir vs Formula, price.

But since you won the lotto, go SID, XTR and Formula then. All good choices.

So far Stans Rims / wheels seem to be the common denominator

Forgot to mention the Frame she is going to be the Black one (with red bits)

Change all my suggestions from white to black then.

and save up the next winter for maintenance...

X0 is great/enough. I would suggest a Duo chainset or even 1x9. cf Middleburn

ZTR, Thomson, Monkeylite, DT hubs, Lizard skin Charger grips
