ngala24 Posted January 5, 2010 Share Ive done a brief search and come up empty. Who makes a tubless 29er rim ? Im tired of playing around with tubless conversion kits. I know the XT are but can we get rims seperate ?

AndreZA Posted January 5, 2010 Share Bontrager.? ? I have the Rhythm Comp rims and Bontrager tubeless rim strips. ? ? that does not sound 100% tubeless to me. There is still a rimstrip involved.
Mutt Posted January 5, 2010 Share Not really rim strips per se. They are not like the joes ones it is a hard plastic thing and a separate valve. it clips into the rim. I have pictures on my phone but cant find the cable right now.
rock Posted January 5, 2010 Share mavic do a crossmax wheel that is proper UST, they also do a rim "TN something", not 100% sure its UST tho, check their site. everythig else is tubeless ready or similar..... the shimano one is 24h so woenlt really work with run-of-the-mill hubs...... rock Posted January 5, 2010 Share nope, the mavic TN719 is not UST....... Stans rims will be the easiest to work with with their yellow sticky tape......
Heliboy Posted January 5, 2010 Share Go with the XT wheels, i changed from the Bontragers as they had too much flex, Also seen a set American Classics which were tubless and in white, Verrry nice

Aquatic Posted January 6, 2010 Share The bontrager rimstrip is a plastic one,and a once of way of making it tubeless, just add ur valve and sealant and away you go.It may not be true ust,but whats the real advantage of ust over this system?Dont easton make 29er wheelsets?
