Just had coffee at the Bike Park. While we were there they airlifted a rider out. From what I could gather he went down hard in Space Junk and may have broken his neck.

If anyone knows the rider, please wish them a speedy recovery.

Also, to everyone: Remember that we are fragile, and that things can easy go wrong. Pay attention when riding, stay in control of your bike, be careful. If you can't control your bike, go for a skills clinic and learn how to ride properly, so you at least have a better chance at avoiding injury.

I have seen 3 very big crashes at this park . Has warning signs been put up yet to warn riders that a double jump will follow soon after you have reached the bottom of a downhill or that there maybe a gap jump ahead ? Hope the dude is ok .

They don't need signs like that. all they need is a sign warning you that to be sure of the circuit, you should go slowly or walk it before attempting ride it at speed.

Do you want to walk the Epic route before you ride it?

Just don't ride a double black diamond trail if you not at the level yet. It is called common sense.

Oh. Thanks. If you don't ask, no-one will tell you.

I think Little-Ben may take offense at being called a snotnose Shocked but then again he doesn't need to walk it .......

what the idea is with the bike park, as it was with logwood, is to do the routes from the easiest (blues) without dabbing a foot, before progressing to the greens, and then to the black routes.

hog, is that black trail after angle grinder open yet?
