I have just bought a second hand bike and the seller told me the bike is running on Ghetto Tubeless tyres. Mudsimus Posted January 7, 2010 Share You'll probably struggle to get it to seal. Make sure there is enough sealant in and try to pump it with a floor pump. If that doesnt work take it to a garage it inflate it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SwissVan Posted January 7, 2010 Share Ghetto tubeless refers to a cheaper but reliable method to convert standard or tubeless wheels to a tubeless system. Tubeless benefits are less punctures and allows you to use a lower tyre pressure which results in better traction / less rolling resistance. Tubeless usually requires the use of a liquid sealant inside the tyre to seal holes in the tyre wall, this sealant tends to dry up or form a fugly looking birds nest inside your tyre after a coupla months which must be removed and replaced with fresh sealant.
