If you want to use any sort of power training device correctly then you will need to get yourself either;

1. A structured programme or coach

2. A good understanding of the principles of training with power

PM me if you are interested in the first option and we can help you.

OK, I am in the cycle industry as well. But been old school advice on training should be free - thus my suggestion to get hold of Rupert Reeda. I am sure he will help you and it will not cost.

Form the buisness side of things I've just given Excel anouther 3 sets of Stealth carbon Spinergy wheels and your Bro rides for the team! Why are you using Bora's? Beleive it or not this is how we sponsors gage the success of sponsorship. I know Rupert is good for the product and I have gambled with the whole team! You can choose to been part of that gamble working!

This is a hard line to follow - maybe we will meet at SA's if you going - I will explain in full.

As for the coaching (for BikeMax) riders who have been through my system at Junior / U23 ages (where hopfully you learn the good habits) include George, Spence, Perry, Maartens, Ball, Cole, Butland, Lill recently the new riders to CSC Wilkins (left in Feb this year) to name but a few. The reason for recomending Rupert is I know him well and the the work he is doing amoungst the guys in Pretoria where Stifmeister comes from is as close to what I did with the guys mentioned above, and I am sure he is therefore in good hands.

I have no problem with people getting free coaching where they can.

My point is that the OP asked about Power training specifically and in my experience there are not many coaches out there with a good grasp of this concept - and even less pro riders.

Therefore, I maintain, that if you want the best out of your SRM's then get yourself a good coach who is familiar with the principles of training with power and how best to use the SRM and analyse the data (free or not)

BikeMax - I had some questions possibly you can answer them. Go back to the article under racing and Sa track Champs and the last listing by myself (the last listing).

Go to any decent bike shop' date=' where you can get a Bioracer setup or something similar, or go talk to any of the local pro's you might know that can give you some sound advice.

Or get your new coach (free or not) [img']smileys/smiley36.gif[/img], to also help you with bike setup while he helps you to get the best out of your new SRM Powercranks.

You are a Vet remember. Work for a big company and I sure earn enough to buy wheels! After seeing you new house a new set of wheel would be a cheap up grade to the living room area!

You ask me for wheel, but I do not get an invite to the party - why? Do you think I do not have a sister?

why use the bioracer system when their a free system on the web at www.wrenchscience.com ?

True, but if you go to a decent L.B.S. that can help you with your setup, you can also play around with adjusting a few things before you settle for a specific setup.

While I'm sure they will be willing to chop and change parts if you buy a complete new bike from them, I'm also sure they will be even more keen to play around with helping you find your ideal setup and swop components as need be.

By certainly would be a good place to start, there is also a good online fitment aid at www.competitivecyclist.com see at the bottom of the page for their fit calculator.
