Hub pre Argus route ride

Anyone planning such a ride?

Anyone interested in doing such a ride from say, Muizenburg to Green Point.

Would love to do the majority of the route before the Argus. Can do it on my own, but always nicer with company.

I would yes and hate riding out there by myself cause its always windy.

 

 

maybe we should state what group youre in, or what time youre aiming for. Im D and hell I hope I do a sub3 I think as long as youre not going longer than 4 hours It should be fine.

Nope, staying in Bellville. Also provisionaly "D", also hoping for sub 3 (but not at rate my training is going now). Will see after this weekend if I have a chance of sub 3, or should I rather say after 99'er.

i stay in the southern suburbs area and regularly ride the routes that are covered in the argus. Wind isn't too bad usually. In the last 3 days its been hell though but its a good training ride. Otherwise do the Rollercoaster this weekend and you'll ride around Cape Point and over Slangkop.

When do you guys think will be a good time for such a ride?

Saturday or Sunday, aim for the latest, a 6am start, more cyclist on the roads at this time in case you need a break but dnt wanna stop then you can just draft. The later you leave the more the sun will knock you.

I dont want it to be too big a group, can lead to all sorts of hassles. (road congestion, riding 3/4 abreast, etc.)

Like I said in my first post, can do it alone, but idea is to meet fellow hubbers and it always is nicer with other guys you "know" around you.

What say you Hubbers, shall we try and get a couple of guys together and do a nice leisurely ride from Muizenburg to Greenpoint, have a breakfast somewhere and then go off and enjoy the rest of the day with our families/friends.

How about one the 13 March, the day before the Argus.  Say from Green Point to Sea Point, just a get to know each other ride.

 

How about the MTB race, am doing it on Saturday the 6 March, any Hubbers joining us on that day
