Buying crank on CRC

When buying a SLX crank on CRC, does the bottom bracket come with it?

BB should be with it. If not it'll say in the description

BB does not come with anything lower than XT

You also don;t get the tool to fit it,

 

Only XTR shipps with BB and tool

XT with BB

SLX with nothing.

I would be very surprised id it doesnt come with it? unless of course Its changed or new policy.

 

Ive bought 2 x LX cranks and a Hone crankset and it al came with BB's I thought its part of the system?

I bought the SLX double cranks (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=28019) about a month ago and they did come with BB.

Not one of the people that bought the crank bought the BB as an extra. So it tells me that it does come with a bb.

I mailed them yesterday about the same thing. Hopefully I will get an answer today.

I think it s shimano thats changed the policy.

 

two chums of mine have bought SLX cranks of CRC thanks to the superlow cost and neither had a BB in the packet.

 

I think this is where with CRC you don't always know what you're getting. Both of those orders, the cranks arrived in plastic packets, like OEM stuff and hence the cranks were super cheap.

 

Its worthwhile checking with an LBS whats in the SLX box...

it could be that aftermarket kit (in a SLX box) is supplied with BB.

 

OEM stuff (which CRC does a lot of) does not have the BB.

I ordered an SLX crankset from CRC just last week. It arrived with BB/spacers the whole setup and even a manual!!!

My SLX cranks were wrapped in plastic, and they came with the BB, spacers and manual. I thought that maybe CRC just took everything out of the box to make it smaller to ship.

Interesting as lbs state that bb is included, so the OEM thing is probably accurate.
