Garmin bike mount

my stupid little clip for my garmin bike mount broke the other day so i went to Cape Union Mart to ask if i could order a replacement !!!

 

R150 for a piddly little bike mount that probably costs no more than R5 to make in China !!!

 

WTF i just cant see why the thing is so damm expensive !!!!

A thought just struck me (one of the few and far between ).

 

 

 

Brighter Lights is now casting premoulded plastic parts for fork lockouts etc, perhaps he can make a Uitenhage version of Garmin's notorious plastic clip.

You're lucky ... I was quoted R250 from another shop. I'm still looking for a cheaper one (or two or three). Hope some pop up on the hub again - there have been some here before.

i was trying to fiddle with a small cable tie last night but that intefered with my braai and red wine so i gave it up as a bad job but i want to try and get one made from stainlees steel or some spring steel i will get it doen but on principal they can shove there little clips up thier ar ...noses !!

Less 4 broken

Less 3 currently on bikes

= one spare (not for sale, just in case)

 

they beak easily and all in the same place!

looks like the edge 500's will be much better.

The ones from mallot jaune seem stronger than the standard ones that come with the garmin, i bought and fitted them to my bikes last year and had none broken yet.

hell with that amount of replacements you could have bought a 305 and got a free mount  at 150 each
