Can't wait! The hotter the better. Would have complained if it was raining because I can not find traction in the mud! Good luck hubbers!

I only drank One bottle last year, I just sipped on my waterbottle water all day saturday and by sunday i must have been well hydrated. lesson for me. However at last weekends Xterra SA's I kakked solid bricks, drank 2.5L in 2 hours, but the race Started at 11am!! finished swim by 11:30 then we started the 25km Mtb which took longer than 2 hours.. for 25 km!! in 42 degree heat. Im well over it. I Take mud.

Im r not doing it this year, Its really the most boring Farmyeard dash of the whole callender, and its supposed to be so prestigious. Only reason to do it would be to see how one shapes up against last year. which I know Im not.

The route has changed a bit Bos, you should do the new route at least once to see if it's a bit more prestigious this time around, but I agree, the route from last year was rather boring, they should make the Lourensford race the Argus Mtb race>:-)

Ah really? I was saying I wouldnt do it unless it changed and then some chop posted that It wouldnt change on here.. Ah! I wonder If I can still enter.. 55km on sunday right?

I don't think you can still enter, not sure, and even if you could it would cost a small fortune at this stage. Don't know if route change is the right phrasing, looks like they just revers the route.

I think I did a 2h38 - last year was a f'up so rather not talk about it;-) Will try for close to 2h30 again this time around but will see, it's going to be hot. What road race are you talking about happening this weekend?
