Nah, was tongue in cheek, but I do most of the wrench work myself, including a BB rebuild last year. Bought myself a toolkit, a good manuel and the rest is just logicWinkLOL

got a good point there. i taught myself how to build wheels last year - thanks to sheldon brown's online tutorial.

but unfortunately, for the most part, the simplest manual i can follow are lego instructionsLOL

I'm extremely happy with my lbs and the bike does feel brand new after a visit.

Not cheap, but the bike gets stripped down in its entirety and all parts and bearings are meticulously looked at and replaced if the slightest doubt as to their longevity exists.

Ever experienced a bike that functions 100% that rides and feels faster after a service?

Looking at the avatar and message, I feel a sales pitch coming on, but seeing as it was posted at 3 a.m. maybe he fell asleep on the keyboard -  this should buy us some time.

No not a sales pitch actually just interrested in the views of cyclists out there, and at 3am that is when i have finished a service on a bike that is going to do the trans alps. PS try and be positive about your fellow cycling addicts
