Nicolas Vogondy of the Agritubel team and Matthieu Ladagnous from FDJ attacked at the 6km mark

They had a maximum lead of 13'50" at one stage but are now down to 8'50"

Vogondy is the new virtual leader of the TDF

Yes, but as we speak it is Floyd Landis who has jumped on to the back of the
peleton (PPA funride style) with an easy entry ticket and no helmet.

This could be the writing on the wall but it seems like the bunch is going over the white middle lane
and the marshals are screaming numbers over the radio of riders who have been disqualified beacuse of this infringment.

It seems that the bunch is now merging with the short route riders and this can cause a little confusion amongst thos still in the race.

I don't know Kal-El, I have a funny feeling about Robbie H.  On the other hand they still have to catch the break away.  The lead is now 7'50"

At the moment it looks like the two leaders are easing down a bit, it seems that they don't want the gap to become too big.  The peloton is also just cruising at about 30km/h

about 130km to go, 8 min gap. I wonder when they will start closing them down, perhaps with 80km to go?

I think it might take a long time to catch the leaders, as they also seem to soft peddal and keeping the gap at around 8 minutes.  So they might also be rested when the peloton starts to chase

I think the norm is that the bunch (organised bunch) can chase down a break 1minute for every 10km......

So 80 would make sence....

Gap down to 6 min with 110 km to go. Safe to say they wont stay away.

Good to see they will be finishing a bit later than yesterday.Now I can drive home without swearing at everybody to get out of my way.Got home 30sec before the finish yesterday.Seems like today I will have at least a hour on the trainer before they sprint.
