My Raleigh RM4 was below R6k and it gets better more I ride it. I would like to get 'n more expensive bike but my heart will break if something happens to it so I stick with the cheapy.

Mampara has a great bike and Raleigh is definitely a brand to look at, good quality, great price.

 

When it comes to components vs. whole bike, buying a complete bike will save you money, rather than buying it in bits. Also, if you are buying Juicy's to fit to the bike you want, remember that the frame and front fork needs to be compatible with disc brakes as they are mounted differently.

the Trek 6000 comes with Juicy's...but I will check out the RM4. Was the first one I was interested in but everyone seems to be struggling with stock. Apparently the new models are on the way...

JolSeeker, welcome to TheHub  buy the best you can afford, but bear in mind that you WILL want to upgrade so make sure that you get the best frame you can afford - then all you'll initially need to upgrade to keep up with the resultant guaranteed addiction is the components...

 

then once you have good components you do the sell-the-kidney thing for a nicer frame....

Deore is as good as XTR just heavier

 

Unless you feel like attacking the south side of mount everest 80mm shock is fine , but since this is also a expensive piece to upgrade look for good quality shock at least .

 

Does not matter what drivetrain your bike got you will at some stage wanna change it . So don't even worry bout it , the lower spec the longer it lasts anyway . Go for the bike you can affort , looks cool and feels great . I.E go and get a Raleigh !

That is part of the upgrade package ! We don't actaully buy tubeless we convert anything else into tubeless
