Hello all,

Could someone please define for me the word "BRAND NEW" ?

I recently bought a item here off the hub as BRAND NEW, when I recieved it yesterday, this product is far from brand new as usage on the item is cleary visible.

Is that still brand new or not? I paid a"new"price for it and feel then the item should be untouched like in the case of a new item, and not been used..........and the usage been masked with a thorough wash. Or am I just a bit full of Sh!t when it comes to the advertisement saying"BRAND NEW and the item is welll ............almost new ?

I agree 100% with you, brand new means it is in as good as condition as if it was still in store, especially if you paid a "brand new" price.

If I purchased something from the hub stating it is brand new I would have the same expectations you had on my purchase.

Seems your item is in "excellent condition" or "almost as new"

Baie-sukkel if you walked into my shop and wanted an item off the shelf that was scuffed i would have to give you discount because it is not as it was delivered to us by the supplier

i would reckon brand new means in original packaging, unopened, unused.

Virtually brand new means out of packaging, but completely unused. maybe suffered a little drool spillage, but nothing more smiley2.gif

Hell yes! Brand new is exactly that.......in the packaging as the guy purchased it in the first place and decided it wasnt what he wanted and was NEVER used or unpacked.

Hi Big H,

Was gister weer jou "valley" gewees, sterkte daarWink.

Was jy in Lagos..... malhuis daai!!!!!

I tend to agree with one of the statements made here re "as new" and " brand new" ( there is imho a difference).

I have got no intentions of starting a "open forum fight" with seller, I purely just wanted to confirm that the avg hubber understands the"brand new" concept the same way as I did when I purchase this item.

I have emailed the seller and brought to his attention that this item is not brand new, however he has advetized is as brand new.

For me, brand new means:

1.) Unused, in original condition.

2.) Unopened, still in original packaging.

3.) Still covered by full original waranty, effective from the day I buy it.
