I watched a program on DSTV. To replace a head light bulb on a Renault Megane (I think that was the car), you had to remove the entire fender. Being a British program, the average cost to replace the bulb was 220 pounds, all labour.

Very sensationalist, Top Gear did the same thing. In reality it's apparently not that difficult if you know how. I replaced a bulb in a friend's Clio the other day, after doing mine a month ago - it's fiddly but not impossible.

 

I now have a Megane, so even though I hope it doesn't go in the next year or two (it's a new car), I strangely enough look forward to proving all the naysayers wrong by trying it myself Wink
