Spectacular insult, but anyway.... I cycled in France in 1981, and on Bastille Day in a small town on the Loire a butcher's daughter decided she liked me, we stayed there a week above the shop. Her parents must've been anti-english as the food got progressively more bizarre ending up some way beyond pigs trotters at some unidentifiable sausage - so we left. French accent does it for me.
